Dean’s Greeting

Dear Students,
 
As Dean of Students I’m happy to greet you as you a member of the family of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The Deputy-Dean, Irit Heret, and the entire team of the Office of the Dean of Students join me in this message of welcome.
The Office of the Dean of Students is the principal body at the University responsible for the welfare of the students as members of the University community. Members of the office team are located on all four central campuses of the University and in coordination with all the academic and administrative units at the University, as well as external parties, they are geared to extend assistance in solving personal, social and economic problems touching on your lives as students.
The goal of the Deanship is to ensure that students are offered a pleasant and friendly study-environment and to supplement the theoretical and professional knowledge acquired by you in the course of your studies with a positive personal experience.
The Office of the Dean provides you with a wide variety of services, including an accommodation Unit, a Unit for economic assistance, a Unit for learning deficiencies, an accessibility Unit, and Units for equal opportunities, parenthood, gender and reserve duty, and social involvement.  
Each and every one of you is invited to meet me and Irit, or other members of the Team. You will receive personal, devoted, efficient and discreet treatment.
